Colour Whisper Review
I was encouraged by my sister to do a review of Maybelline Colour Whisper Lipsticks. I went to my local Superdrug and without much of an enthusiasm, I picked a few of them up just to sheer my opinion with you. I must admit that I was taken aback by how great they are.
The consistency resembles the lip balm with the great colour payoff. I was surprised that the Colour Whisper has a great colour selection. All shades are very wearable and they will flatter most women. If you decide to get any lipstick from Colour Whisper collection, you are bound to find the perfect colour regardless of your skin tone. For longevity wise, they are not as great and you will definitely need to reapply it after a few hours. The consistency is powdery and creamy at the same time. My lips stayed hydrated after wearing the lipstick for the whole day.
Lipsticks are housed in a very girly and sleek, silver tube with a coloured cap that corresponds with the actual shade of the lipstick. The amount of product you are going to get is less than the normal lipstick is. On the other hand, the Colour Lipstick is rich-pigmented and they will last for long. Darker colours when they fade stain lips nicely leaving them with the tint of colour, whereas light shades fade evenly. Each colour is buildable and even with many coats you don’t feel that you are caking on the lipstick; it won’t look chunky or too much saturated. The formula is silicone and gel based, which makes the lipstick very lightweight. It glides on lips very smoothly and it does not feather. These lipsticks look great during winter especially when your lips are more on the dry side and needs extra hydration. The Colour Whisper made my pout look healthy and vibrant.
I need to announce that I am a new Maybelline Colour Whisper lipsticks fan. I have three shades so far but I am planning to grow my personal collection.
